RETROAESTHETIC ART

Story:

HarlowmcFly is an art project by Swiss artist Julian Tinner, aka @julestinner – raised with bare hands and big dreams in a small village out in the farmlands of Eastern Switzerland. Life wasn’t loud out there – but the silence made space for visions.

From early on, cars were everything. Shapes, engines, stories. While other kids played soccer, I sketched taillights and chrome lines. My dad – an artist himself – taught me the only rule worth keeping: chase what keeps you awake at night. He passed in 2005, but his spirit still drives everything I do.

Years later, I found my second home under the California sun. LA hit different – the light, the air, the freedom. It’s where my nostalgia met neon. That trip changed how I saw art. Harlow McFly was born somewhere between a sunset on Mulholland Drive and a broken motel sign in Palm Springs.

This project is a love letter to retro aesthetics, analog dreams, and the beautiful mess of becoming. But it’s also a signal – a quiet reminder to everyone stuck somewhere:

I wanna see what happens if I don’t give up.
